If you are a business owner and want to onboard a VA to help lighten the load but you’re not sure where to start, read on before going any further.
The first step in your process should be to consider what you are actually need help with and then look for a VA with this particular skill set.
You wouldn’t hire a new team member and expect them to be an expert in finance, recruitment, admin, business management, marketing, social media and sales, would you?
Or maybe you would... In that case if you find that person, hand on to them as you’ll be lucky to find such an extensive skill set like this again!
A VA is like any other employee in that we all have our unique skillsets. Some VAs specialise in a particular industry, some are marketing and social media whizzes, some (like me) work across industries but focus on customer relationship management and traditional PA work.
If you come across a VA who claims to know it all now is the time to be cautious… I’m telling you; one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to finding the right fit for your business.
Take your time, do your research, ask for recommendations, ask potential VAs about their experience and perhaps even sign up for a trial month to test the waters.
Then, when you find that perfect fit…. enjoy!
Your work life is about to get a whole lot easier and you’re finally going to be blessed with more of that elusive free time!
